Membership & Eligibility

1. Who can join Jeevan Suraksha?

Any Indian citizen residing in Telangana & Andhra Pradesh or a permanent resident of Telangana or Andhra Pradesh working anywhere in the world can enroll, provided they are between 18 and 60 years of age and are not terminally ill at the time of enrollment.

Membership approval is subject to verification. If an applicant does not meet the eligibility criteria, the membership will be declined, and the amount refunded. The verification process may take up to one week, with refunds processed within 21 days.

2. Can NRIs join Jeevan Suraksha?

Yes, NRIs who are permanent residents of Telangana & Andhra Pradesh and working anywhere in the world are eligible to join.

3. Can I enroll multiple times under different names?

No, each individual is allowed only one active membership. Duplicate memberships will be rejected during verification.

4. What details are required during enrollment?

Applicants must provide valid identity proof, age proof, and nominee details. Additional documents may be requested during verification.

5. Can I change my nominee later?

Yes, members can update nominee details by submitting a formal request through the online portal.

6. Do I need to renew my membership every year?

Yes, membership requires annual renewal. A one-time joining fee of ₹100 and a renewal fee of ₹100 per year are applicable. These fees cover administrative expenses.

Additionally, Once the collective reaches 25,000 active members, each member will be entitled to accidental emergency coverage of up to ₹50,000 or the actual treatment cost, whichever is lower, at no additional charge. This benefit will be limited to 10 unique claims, approved on a first-come, first-served basis.

7. What happens if I take a break from contributing?

If a member fails to contribute to multiple claims, their membership may be suspended or terminated. Rejoining will require clearing pending dues.

8. Can I transfer my membership to a family member?

No, memberships are non-transferable. However, a family member can enroll separately if they meet the eligibility criteria.

9. What happens if I relocate outside Telangana & Andhra Pradesh?

As long as you were a permanent resident of Telangana & Andhra Pradesh at the time of joining, your membership remains valid even if you relocate elsewhere.

10. Can a member move from one collective to another collective?

Yes, a member can move from one collective to another within one year, but this requires prior permission from the Jeevan Suraksha team. The member must reach out to the team and follow the necessary procedure to facilitate the transfer between collectives.

Contributions & Payouts

11. How is the corpus amount of ₹25 lakhs, ₹50 lakhs, or ₹1 crore ensured?

Jeevan Suraksha is not a term insurance plan but a collective commitment where members contribute to support a fellow member’s family in times of need. The final payout depends on the total contributions from active members at that time. While the goal is to provide ₹1 crore, the trust does not guarantee a fixed amount, as it is based on collective participation.

12. How much do I need to contribute per death claim?

Each active member contributes up to ₹500 per claim. The exact amount depends on the number of active members and the total required contribution.

13. Is there a limit to the number of claims in a year?

No, there is no limit. Contributions are collected whenever a member passes away.

14. What happens if multiple members pass away at the same time?

Contributions will be collected separately for each claim, and payouts will be made accordingly.

15. How will my nominee receive the payout?

The payout will be transferred directly to the nominee's registered bank account after verification.

16. What happens if required contributions are not met?

The nominee will receive the total amount contributed by active members at that time.

17. Are there any exclusions to the payout?

Yes, payouts will not be provided in cases of suicide or self-inflicted injuries.
If the nominee is implicated in the member’s demise, the payout will be transferred to other eligible family members.

18. What happens if a member's death is under investigation?

If the cause of death is under investigation, the payout will be withheld until legal clearance is obtained.

19. Can the trust make changes to the structure of the collective?

Yes, the trust reserves the right to merge, split, or restructure groups within the same corpus category based on actuarial science.

Factors such as member age distribution, geography, inflation, and risk assessment will be considered to ensure sustainability. These adjustments help minimize risk and optimize contributions while maximizing benefits for all members.

Membership Payments & Withdrawal

20. What happens if I miss a contribution?

Missing a contribution may result in the suspension of membership until dues are cleared. Repeated non-payment will lead to termination.

To rejoin, members must clear all pending dues. 

21. Can I withdraw my membership?

Yes, members can withdraw, but fees paid are non-refundable, and withdrawal results in forfeiture of benefits.

22. Will my family receive a refund if I withdraw?

No, contributions are non-refundable and are only used for active claims.

Process & Tracking

23. How do I contribute?

Members will receive a notification with payment details. Contributions can be made through the secure online portal.

24. How can I track my contributions and payouts?

Members can log in to the online portal to view their contribution history, pending payments, and claim status.

25. Will my contribution increase in the future?

No, the maximum contribution per claim is ₹500. However, the frequency of contributions depends on the number of claims.

Legal & Compliance

26. Is Jeevan Suraksha registered as a legal entity?

Yes, Jeevan Suraksha is a part of Health Guard Foundation (HGF), and HGF operates as a registered Trust to ensure transparency and compliance with regulations.

27. Are payouts taxable?

The taxability of payouts depends on government regulations. Members are advised to consult a tax professional.

Communication & Support

28. How will I be notified of contributions and updates?

Members will receive notifications via email, SMS, or through the official online portal.

29. Where can I raise concerns or disputes?

Members can contact the support team via the online portal or email for any queries or disputes.

30. How to raise the Claim?

To raise a claim, the nominee can contact the Jeevan Suraksha team directly via WhatsApp, phone, or the contact form available on our website https://jeevansamarth.com. The team will assist the nominee by guiding them through the necessary steps and documentation required for the claim process. The nominee will need to provide essential information, including details of the event leading to the claim, supporting documents, and membership information. Our team will ensure that the claim is processed efficiently.

31. Is there a cooling period for raising a claim?

Yes, there is a 90-day cooling period for certain claims. This means that the claim can only be processed after a waiting period of 90 days from the date of enrollment. For more details on the cooling period, please contact the Jeevan Suraksha team or Volunteer.
